Trucking companies make efforts to reach out to victims of Hurricane Harvey

The state of Texas is still reeling from the after effects of Hurricane Harvey. And amidst this hour of crisis, the trucking industry has been proactive in lending a helping hand to the victims of the natural disaster become stable by moving supplies and arranging monetary assistance; Trucking companies have actively partnered with other organizations to help the victims of the disaster go back to their normal, daily lives. CFI, one of the trucking companies, is putting together shipments containing goods and every day essentials that will be moved by one of their trucks to a local church in Houston. From here, they will be distributed among the victims. The organization has also donated nearly $25,000 towards relief funds.
The company is preparing to offer long term support required for other recovery needs. Request for equipment is met after evaluating if they are suited to the need of the hour.
Other companies like Walmart and H-E-B are also actively involved in helping the victims of recovery. Walmart has sent over 1,000 trucks of supplies and H-E-B deployed its disaster relief convoy consisting of mobile kitchens, generators, relief supplies, water and fuel tankers and other essentials.
